Advanced Higher Physics Assignment Support Scheme (AH-PASS)
The Astronomy & Physics Education Group can offer assistance for pupils tackling their Advanced Higher Physics Assignment. We have a range of experiments which students are welcome to attempt here at the University. Below you will find some background information on the experiments we offer, divided into broad project areas. It is assumed that pupils would review these documents before coming to the University. There will be expert guidance on hand for these visits, but the starting assumption is that the pupils will arrive with their own plans for how they will tackle the experiments, what data they will want to collect, and how they will then analyse their results.
If you have pupils who you think would benefit from visiting us, please contact the organiser Dr Peter Sneddon on phas-ahp-support@glasgow.ac.uk to arrange a suitable time. Teachers are welcome to accompany their pupils, but we are working on the assumptions pupils will normally come on their own.
