Glasgow Excellence Award (UK)

The University of Glasgow has a total of 40 Glasgow Excellence Scholarships available to UK students entering any of the University’s Colleges.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• demonstrate academic excellence and have achieved grades equivalent to UK 1st Class Honours
• hold an offer of a place for a full-time postgraduate taught Masters programme for the 2027/28 academic session 
• be classed as Home or RUK for fee purposes

For MPhil Book & Paper Conservation and Textile Conservation, the scholarship will cover 1st year of study only.

The University of Glasgow is committed to support as many self-funded students as possible which is why UofG discounts and scholarships cannot be combined with one another or any external sponsorship discounts (with the exception of Alumni Discount).

If you are offered more than 1 scholarship, the lower value award will be deleted from your account. If you are offered the Postgraduate Access Scholarship alongside this award, the Scholarship Team will be in touch with you to see which scholarship you would like to accept.

How to apply

Applications for this scholarship for the 2027-28 academic session will open soon. In the mean time please provide your details and we will be in touch when the scholarship is open for applications. 

Closing date for this scholarship is 13th July 2027, 11:45AM UK time.

Applications for this scholarship will be assessed in 2 rounds, so depending on your application date, you will hear back either by 22nd April or 20th July.
