UofG Technician Poster Competition 2024 winners announced

The competition was held at the UofG Technical Conference 2024 and the winners were announced by Senior Vice Principal, Professor Frank Coton
As part of the University’s Annual Technical Conference, which was held on the Monday 10th June 2024 at the Kelvin Gallery, a Technician Poster Competition took place providing an excellent opportunity to showcase and celebrate technical skills and contributions.
Professor Craig Daly and Dr Claire Wilson were appointed as the competition judges who judged 21 entries as per the following criteria:
- Clarity of submitted material
- Novelty and originality
- Visual impact
The judges had a very different task to identify the top three posters as the quality of all submitted posters was described by them as 'outstanding'.
The winners of this year's Technician Poster Competition were:
- Iain Murdoch from SUERC (UofG Technical Conference 2024 poster 1st prize winner)
- Liene Spruzeniece from GES (UofG Technical Conference 2024 poster 2nd prize winner)
- Pamela Younger from MVLS Education Hub (UofG Technical Conference 2024 poster 3rd prize winner)
Senior Vice Principal, Professor Frank Coton awarded the winners who received a certificate and cash prizes. He also thanked the competition judges for completing the difficult task of judging such high quality posters.
