University of Glasgow wins Technician Commitment Impact Award

University’s Technician Commitment Coordinator, Ali Salik, and the TCCN (champions’ network) chair, Beth Dibnah, received the Impact Award at the TC Signatory Event in Cardiff on 15th May 2024.

The University of Glasgow has won the Technician Commitment Impact Award in recognition of the University's commitment to ensuring visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability of technical skills and roles.

The University's Technician Commitment (TC) Coordinator, Ali Salik, and the TCCN (champions’ network) chair, Beth Dibnah, received this award at TC Signatory Event which was held in Cardiff on 15th May 2024.

The award follows on from the University’s successful submission of TC Stage-2 self-assessment and Stage-3 Action plan which the TC Steering Board described as 5* and sector leading.

The event also marked seven years since the inception of the Technician Commitment. To mark this occasion, a new Technician Commitment report was launched on the Impact of the Commitment so far. This report can be found here
