Dr. Kaitlin Mayne, Clinical Lecturer in Renal Medicine has been honored as one of the distinguished recipients of the 2024 Escalator Awards Research Scholars program.
The School of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health is thrilled to announce that Dr. Kaitlin Mayne, Clinical Lecturer in Renal Medicine has been honoured as one of the distinguished recipients of the 2024 Escalator Awards Research Scholars program. Awarded by Women As One in collaboration with the Global CVCT Forum, the award recognizes outstanding women physicians with significant promise and expertise in clinical trials.
The Escalator Awards Research Scholars program, now in its second year, is dedicated to elevating the visibility and impact of women leaders in clinical trial research. It continues to fulfil its mission of fostering professional connections and creating pathways for future success in the field.
Kaitlin was selected from a pool of 20 nominations representing seven countries. The selection process, which took place in early November, involved a review committee of six world-leading physicians, including esteemed faculty from both Women As One programs and the CVCT Forum.
As an award recipient, Kaitlin will attend the Global CVCT Forum from December 9-11 in Washington, DC. She will be featured in faculty sessions tailored to her clinical specialty during this renowned event. Additionally, she will have the opportunity to engage in a leadership lunch with key figures from CVCT, Women As One, and industry leaders, providing a platform to discuss pathways to clinical trial leadership and to learn from pioneers in the field.
The other winners in this year’s awards are Dr. Demilade Adedinsewo (USA), Dr. Josephine Harrington (USA), Dr. Agnes Koczo (USA), Dr. Maria Pabón (USA), Dr. Jule Pinter (Germany), Dr. Nosheen Reza (USA).
