Graham Wilson Travel Scholarships Award Presentations

On Wednesday 23rd of November we welcomed the Wilson Family to the School for the Graham Wilson Travel Scholarship Award Presentations.
On the 23rd November 2022 the Graham Wilson traveling Scholarship meeting took place at the BHF GCRC and was chaired by Professor Christian Delles.
This is fund was established to honour the memory of the late Professor Graham Wilson. The fund is held by the Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS endowment Funds Office and offers support to junior members of staff and students who wish to visit a centre in the UK or abroad to learn specific clinical or research techniques, particularly those transferable to Glasgow. Professor Wilson's principal interests were in clinical pharmacology, hypertension, endocrinology/metabolism, gastroenterology and medical education. More than one scholarship is available each year, each having a maximum of around £1,000.
This years Graham Wilson Scholorship's were awarded to Dr Josie Fullerton, Laura Gonzalez Trueba, Jack Beazer and Rebecca Rooney. Laura Gonzalez Treuba presented on Generation of a base editing strategy to target Col4a1 mutations in vitro, then Dr. Rosie McNee & Dr. John Wilson both made speeches during the meeting after a lunch was provided.

Applications usually open November/December with a closing date by January each year.
