A message from Cara Trivett:
“On 2nd October I ran the TCS London Marathon for the BHF. It was one of the most surreal experiences…there was hundreds of people lining the streets the whole way round, some people even handing out sweeties and drinks, children holding out their hands for high 5’s, people you have never met and will never meet again, shouting out peoples name and giving encouragement. It was really hard, and the wheels started to fall off around 18-20 miles, but I managed to stay upright and finish it! I couldn’t walk up or down stairs for at least 3 days afterwards! Through fundraising and events like the cake sales, I raised almost £2000. Thank you to everyone in the SCMH who donated, sent me well wishes and tracked me on the day – it really really helped to make it all worth it."
