We would like to welcome Melanie Hafdi to SCMH
Melanie Hafdi has joined the SCMH team for three months as a visiting researcher, funded by Alzheimer Netherlands. Melanie is a neurology trainee from Amsterdam UMC, Netherlands and has research interests in stroke and the vascular contribution to dementia.
Melanie will be working on a research project with Terry Quinn. They will use data from his CSO/Stroke Association program grant - APPLE (Assessing Psychological Problems in stroke: A longitudinal Evaluation) to assess whether acute CT brain imaging could provide predictive indicators of cognitive decline or dementia after stroke.
