Muna’s research will be exploring the Palliative Care experiences of Black Caribbean and African children and their families in the UK.
Muna Dahir Hassan is an experienced nurse with a background in paediatric and neonatal intensive care units. Muna has also worked with the International Organization for Migration and Médecins Sans Frontières to improve paediatric and neonatal care in Somalia. After three years working as a lecturer in Child and Family Health at a top London university, Muna is joining us to pursue PhD studies.
Her research is driven by her observations of healthcare inequities and aims to highlight the needs and challenges faced by Black Caribbean and African children in palliative care. This work seeks to advocate for a more inclusive and culturally sensitive approach to healthcare.
