Hanna is using a practice-based approach to explore the shift in food consumption practices amongst urban middle class women in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Hanna Haile is an Ethiopian-born Londoner with a Masters in Global Health Nutrition. Her PhD will explore the changes in food consumption patterns and related practices in urban Ethiopia, focussing specifically on middle class women in Addis Ababa.
Hanna’s background is as a Public Health Nutritionist and she is an avid advocate for cultural diversity and competency in dietetic and health guidance. She is also the founder of ‘Heritage Nutrition’, a social enterprise dedicated to providing culturally appropriate nutrition-related services to mainly people of African descent in the diaspora.
