Our programme of works to upgrade the Annexe of the University Library is now well underway. Find out more about the Library Annexe Upgrade.

To help minimise disruption in spaces closest to the works, we are now preparing for the installation of soundproof partition walls inside the Annexes.  

While these walls are being installed, we will need to temporarily close the Annexes on the following Levels in March 2025:

Access to the Prayer & Reflection Room on Level 9 of the Library will be maintained throughout. 

Postgraduate Pop-up Spaces are now available in the Learn Lab on Level 3 of the Library opposite the Main Stairs, and in the Jura Lab in the Level 4 Annexe. If you need any directions, our Reach Out Ambassadors in the Library will be happy to help.

Access to books 

While the Annexes are closed, we will provide a Click and Collect service to make sure you can still access any books you need. Find out more abour our Click and Collect service. 

Alternative Study Spaces 

Study spaces are also available in the McMillan Reading Room, Fraser Building Level 3 and the James McCune Smith Learning Hub, which has a silent study space on Level 5.
