Jews' Burying Place
Glasgow's Jewish community established a burial ground at the Necropolis. John Bryce (1805-51) designed the column at the entrance which was influenced by Absalom's pillar in the King's Dale, Jerusalem. It was inscribed with extracts from the Scriptures and Lord Byron's Hebrew Melodies.
