Knox's Monument
The monument to John Knox, the great reformer, was erected by public subscription in 1825 in the Fir Park which subsequently became the Necropolis. Robert Forrest (1790- 1852) carved the statue which was placed on a tall Greek Doric column and overlooks the Cathedral.
