David Hayman is an actor and director whose career began at the Citizens’ Theatre with Giles Havergal – he played the title role in the infamous 1970 production of Hamlet. With Gerard Kelly he was the co-artistic director of 7:84 between 1988 and 1992. Well known as a television and film actor, David is also celebrated as the director of the 1977 premiere – and 2015 revival – of John Byrne’s The Slab Boys.
