7335   Thanne was ther nought, but 'evy man
7336   Now to assaut, that sailen can,'
7337   Quod love, 'and that full hardyly.'
7338   Thanne armed they hem comunly
7339   Of sich armour as to hem felle.
7340   Whanne the were armed, fers and felle,
7341   They wente hem forth, all in a route,
7342   And set the castel al Aboute;
7343   They will nought away, for no drede,
7344   Til it so be that they ben dede,
7345   Or till they have the castel take.
7346   And foure batels they gan make,
7347   And parted hem in foure Anoon,
7348   And toke her way, and forth they gone,
7349   The foure gates forto Assaile,
7350   Of whiche the kepers wole not faile;
7351   ffor they ben neithir sike ne dede,
7352   But hardy folk, and stronge in dede.
7353   Now wole I seyn the coutynaunce
7354   Of falssemblant, and Abstynaunce,
7355   That ben to wikkid tonge went.
7356   But first they heelde her plement,
7357   Whether it to done were
7358   To maken hem be knowen there,
