4195   And in the kernels, heere and there,
4196   Of arblasters grete plente were.
4197   Noon armure myght her stroke withstonde,

4200   With wall batayled large and brade,
4201   ffor men and hors shulde not Atteyne
4202   To neighe the dyche over the pleyne.

4206   Oonly the roser forto kepe.
