Paul Slevin successfully defended his thesis on 3rd May. Paul's research was on homological Algebra in Monoidal Categories. He was supervised by Ulrich Kraehmer.

Paul has taken up a position as a software developer at the JP Morgan technology centre in Glasgow.

Duncan Mc Coy successfully defended his thesis on 16th May. Duncan's research was on knots and Smooth Four-Dimensional Manifolds. He was supervised by Brendan Owens.

Duncan will take up a prestigious Bing Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Texas in August, starting in August.

Reem Almahmud successfully defended her thesis on 23rd May. Reem's research was on wavelet analysis of bioconvection and mixed suspensions. She was supervised by Nicholas A Hill and Martin Bees (York).
