Lindsay Farmer, Professor of Law at the School of Law, has been named as a Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Fellow in the Society’s 2022 intake.

Altogether 80 new fellows were elected to join the RSE, Scotland’s National Academy, which includes individuals from across the sciences, arts, education, business and public life. They join the RSE’s current fellowship of around 1700 Fellows, who are recognised as being some of the greatest thinkers, researchers and practitioners working in or with Scotland today.

Professor Farmer is one of ten University of Glasgow academics who were recognised in the latest announcement (visit the recent UofG University News item to view the full list), which also includes Professor Ya Ping Wang, Chair in Global City Futures, School of Social & Political Sciences in the College of Social Sciences.

Professor Farmer commented: “It is a tremendous honour to be recognised by election to the RSE. This is also a recognition of the excellent work being done in the School of Law at the University of Glasgow and I would like to thank my colleagues for their support and for creating a positive work environment. It is especially important to recognise this generosity at this time of uncertainty in the sector.”
