CVR receives QA 2021 prize at St James's Palace

Representatives from the University of Glasgow recently attended a ceremony at St James’s Palace to accept the Queen’s Anniversary Prize 2021 awarded to our Centre for Virus Research.
Representatives from the University of Glasgow recently attended a ceremony at St James’s Palace to accept the Queen’s Anniversary Prize 2021 awarded to our Centre for Virus Research.
On 25 November 2021, the CVR was recognised with a prestigious award for Higher and Further Education for advanced virology research to combat disease, and leading expertise in the handling of samples and testing antivirals.
The prizes, granted every two years, are the highest national Honour awarded in FE and HE in the UK and recognise outstanding work by UK colleges and universities that shows quality and innovation and delivers real benefit to the wider world.
The Prizes were presented by the Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal on 17 February and accepted on behalf of the CVR by Principal Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli and Head of MVLS Professor Iain McInnes.
