Sustainability Showcase proves huge hit

Sustainability showcase held in the SGDB common room.
We had a great showing at the Sustainability showcase organised by Susan Gannon. Representatives from Starlab, Eppendorf, SLS, Avantar and Merck showed off some of their sustainable products and schemes. Some highlights included biodegradable gloves (options supplied by SLS and Avantar), PCR plates made of biocomposite materials to reduce plastic waste (supplied by SLS), centrifuge tubes made of food oil waste which come in 5 ml and 25 ml as well as 15 ml and 50 ml (supplied by Eppendorf) and bio ethanol and methanol (supplied by Merck and found in stores).
As usual, Starlab's mini cacti proved a huge hit!
