Anna Pearce, recipient of the prestigious NIHR Population Health Career Scientist award, is launching a new project this summer focused on reducing child poverty in Scotland. Her research aims to explore how child poverty reduction policies can more effectively support child and maternal health and tackle health inequalities. A key component of the project involves creating an index to analyze the extent and distribution of child poverty across Scotland, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives like the Scottish Child Payment. For a lay introduction to the project, visit the project webpage. For more information, contact Anna at anna.pearce@glasgow.ac.uk.
