HEHTA represented strongly at the Scottish Health Economists (SHE) Seminar in September
From Aberdeen to Glasgow, Scottish health economists convened in Dundee in early September for the Scottish Health Economics (SHE) Seminar 'Routine Data in Health Economics'.
Launched in 2019, SHE is a collaboration of health economists from Scottish universities, the government and the NHS that aims to support, promote, and develop health economics in Scotland. The event focused on the use of data in health economics with several presentations by experts in the field including a talk by HEHTA’s Claudia Geue on the use of routine data in examining social care issues. Through the SHE Early Career network (SHEEC), the event also gave a platform to ECRs to present and have discourse on the diverse projects they were undertaking.
After two years of social isolation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the SHE event was a welcome occasion for Scottish health economists to reconnect face-to-face and forge new networks. A large group of HEHTA staff were delighted to be able to attend on this occasion and look forward to future events.
