Trainee health economist Ryan Mulholland has been involved in the development of the Clarice Pears Community Health Research Hub. The hub aims to enhance links with local community and voluntary sector groups and to improve the relevancy of research conducted in the School of Health and Wellbeing. Along with colleagues from the School’s other research groups, he attended a workshop in July to discuss engagement ideas for the hub, including community-based research, skill sharing and knowledge exchange. He also attended a co-production training session in August delivered by the Scottish Community Development Centre, in which researchers and representatives from community groups explored approaches to future collaboration. As we look forward to moving into our new home, HEHTA is excited for these new opportunities for community engagement.
