Researchers from the Universities of Glasgow and Liverpool are collaborating to design health systems for people with Multiple Long-Term Conditions (MLTC). In the UK, 1 in 3 people live with MLTC, a figure expected to rise. By 2035, over two-thirds of those aged 65+ will be affected.

The SysteMatic People Insights team in Glasgow used arts-based methods like body mapping, photovoice and personas to capture the experiences of those with MLTC. These insights led to the creation of “Robert’s story,” an animation to highlight the challenges faced by marginalised individuals with MLTC. It tells the story of Robert, a 45-year-old managing asthma, chronic pain and depression.

The exhibition launches on Tuesday 18th February and will run until the end of March.
