How should the NHS be funded? What would you fundraise for? What future role should charity have in providing healthcare?

In this exhibition, visitors will journey through a visual history of charitable fundraising posters for hospitals in the UK, spanning the years before the NHS was established in 1948, to the present.

The exhibition is organised by researchers working on a Wellcome Trust Collaborative Award on charity and voluntarism in the NHS since 1948. It will showcase archival images of fundraising posters, as well as posters made by participants in recent public engagement events.

Join us for the launch event in Byres Community Hub on Monday 4th November, 2-4pm.
