14 March 2022 - Onur Celik finalist at STEM for Britain 2022 at the Houses of Parliament
SET Group’s Onur Celik was a shortlisted finalist for STEM for Britain 2022, and took part in the event at the Houses of Parliament on 7th March.
Onur presented his research on "A DETAILED MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR REFLECTED SOLAR ENERGY DELIVERY FROM SPACE FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF GLOBAL CLEAN ENERGY SERVICES". Onur's research is part of the ERC project SOLSPACE.
STEM for Britain is an annual poster competition for early-career applicants (MSc to newly appointed lecturers) across the UK in the areas of biological sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematical sciences and engineering. Onur was invited to London as one of 33 finalists in the engineering category and presented his research on mathematical modelling of solar energy delivery from space to the Members of Parliament, including Glasgow North MP Patrick Grady, panel experts and other invited guests.
