Congratulations to GC-UESTC Reader for Excellent Contributions

Dr Abbasi (Reader, James Watt School of Engineering and Deputy Head for Communication of the Sensing and Imaging group) recently received a 'Pakistan Award' at the 1st International Conference on Microwave, Antennas & Circuits (ICMAC 2021). This was for his "excellent contributions and services to Antenna and RF research in Pakistan". President Arif Alvi addressed the concluding session of this exciting hybrid IEEE-approved conference.

Dr. Abbasi has published more than 400 peer reviewed conference and journal papers and 10 books. He has received 8 best paper awards and been cited by IET TV, the BBC and STV, as well as many international media houses, for his highly-regarded research.
