In March 2025, a new cross-college Scottish Catholic Studies Arts Lab (SCAL) was established. The directors are Leonardo Franchi (School of Education), Philip Tonner (School of Education), Craig Lamont (School of Critical Studies) and Siobhan Convery (Director of Library Collections).

The first activity is a MOOC that will be available in late spring. Future activities include exhibitions and mini-conferences on themes such as the life of Bishop William Turnbull (Founder of the University of Glasgow) and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition in a Scottish context. There will be many opportunities for fruitful collaboration with the wider work of the School and the St Andrews Foundation. See the website for more details.
