Upcoming Fidabio seminar
Published: 2 April 2025
Join us on Thursday, 8th May, 11.00-12.00 at Davidson Lecture Theatre for a seminar hosted by Neil Bulleid on FIDA technology, which measures biomolecular size, affinity, and kinetics for biophysics and structural biology applications.
FIDA: Biomolecular characterization in solution for biophysics and structural biology applications
When: Thursday 8th May , 11.00-12.00
Where: Davidson Lecture Theatre
Host: Neil Bulleid Integrated Protein Analysis
The NBIPA are looking to enhance our portfolio of equipment . We would like to present the FIDA (Flow induced Dispersion Analysis) for a future grant application . It is a technology platform that measures the size, affnity and kinetics of biomolecules and enables a range of assays to be developed. This seminar will outline the basics of FIDA, its three orthogonal readouts (size ( nm) BRIC and Lambda LD) and how the first principle data from protein QC can be used to qualify samples for other techniques. Secondly, we will showcase applications and technology innovations with the platform.
- FIDA Basics KD,Stoichiometry, oligomeric state and In Solution Kinetics
- Small molecule screening for membrane proteins
- Structural biology QC and mechanisms powering Cryo EM
- C-Spring — KD determination in a single injection
