Madeleine is coming to be a first year MRC Precision Medicine DTP student
We would like to welcome Madeleine Hayman to SCMH.
"I am Madeleine Hayman and I am a first year MRC Precision Medicine DTP student.
I completed my BSc in California where I studied molecular genetics and then my MRes in Biomedical Science at the University of Glasgow before working in a contracted research organisation for just under two years in the central belt of Scotland.
My project and interests fused to together to determine how severe mental illness predisposes to cardio-metabolic diseases via unhealthy adipose storage. I will be working within the SCMH and the School of Health and Wellbeing to use UK biobank, among other data sets, to better understand the adiposity between mental ill-health and CVD/CMD."
