BHF Store Managers Tour

We welcomed BHF store managers for a tour of the facilities.

BHF Group Tour

On Wednesday 17th May we had a tour of the BHF GCRC labs. As you may know, the school works closely with the British Heart Foundation to improve the lives of people who are affected by heart disease. We were grateful to have the opportunity to host a tour for the interested British Heart Foundation regional store managers and show them how the donations received within the stores make a significant difference.

The tour was an immense success, and we are grateful to our BHF 4year PhD students who led the way. The BHF team were taken on a guided tour of our facility. They were also given a presentation by our students on the latest research in the fields of heart disease.

The students were passionate and enthusiastic as they shared their knowledge and experiences with the BHF team. They answered questions ad provided valuable insight into the work we do here at the school. The BHF team left the tour with greater understanding and can take the knowledge back to their teams of volunteers.

We cannot overstate the importance of the British Heart Foundation’s support in our work. Their contributions enable us to continue our research and provide life-changing treatments and care for those affected by heart disease. We are grateful for them for their continued partnership and the opportunity to display the incredible work we do together.

As the 17th May is World Hypertension Day, the BHF team were able to get the blood pressure checked by the wonderful volunteers at the Hypertension awareness event. They were all happy to get there blood pressure checked and learn more about why it is important to get this checked regularly.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the British Heart Foundation store managers who took the time to visit our school and learn more about our work. Your support and dedication to our cause are appreciated and will continue to make a difference to those affected by heart disease.
