Congratulations to the members of SCMH who have been nominated for awards at this year’s Student Teaching awards.

The Students' Representative Council hosts the Student Teaching Awards (aka STAs) every year to recognize and celebrate staff and student contributions to teaching, support, and representation.

These awards are organised each year by the SRC and recognise the remarkable work of some amazing staff members. The STA’s highlight excellent practice on campus and, more importantly, are an opportunity for students to say thank you to staff who shaped their learning experience.

The various categories are chosen to display the excellent work happening at the University – from superb student reps to captivating classroom teaching, amazing administrators, and fantastic dissertation support.

In the category of Best adviser to Studies, both Dr Katherine Price and Dr Emma Reid were nominated. Six SCMH members were nominated for the Best College Teacher category within MVLS. They are Prof Will Fuller, Dr Graeme Sills, Prof Niall MacFarlane, Dr Shona McQuilken, Dr Katherine Price and Dr Emma Reid.

Also, Prof Craig Daly, Dr Laura Dowsett and Dr Emma Reid were nominated for best dissertation supervisor. Prof George Baillie was nominated for Best Feedback.

In the Highly Innovative Teaching category, Dr Shona McQuilken was nominated. Within the Outstanding Contribution to Teaching category, there were five nominations from the school. The nominations were for Prof Craig Daly, Dr Laura Dowsett, Dr Graeme Sills, Prof Niall MacFarlane and Dr Emma Reid.

Congratulations to everyone on their nominations.
