Esha Nitnavare

We would like to welcome Esha Nitnavare to SCMH.

"I joined SCMH in mid-Aug as a Research Technician. I moved to Glasgow 5 years ago and have been part of the University for 4years. After obtaining my Master’s in Biotechnology, I was fortunate to have the experience working at the Lighthouse Labs at the QEUH before securing a position in the School of Molecular Biosciences (based in labs in the Davidson Building and also at Garscube). My role in SMB allowed me to further my knowledge in sustainability, Health +Safety while allowing me to develop my lab management skills. I was grateful to be given the opportunity to complete the ‘Herschel women in technical leadership programme’ and hope to apply what I have learned in my new post. My hobby is travelling which is why I have chosen this picture of me taken in May in Bhutan while undertaking an 8-hour trek.

Thank you to all the kind people in the School for me helping settle in so far. I have enjoyed learning about the research undertaken in the GCRC and in the labs based at the QEUH (where Steven has kindly taken me to.) I am looking forward to getting to know you all more, so feel free to chat if you see me!"

We look forward to working with you.
