Inveraray and District Pipe Band 2024 World Champions in Glasgow:
SCMH PhD student Kyle Shead plays with Inveraray and District Pipe band who for the third time in the bands 19-year history has won the World Pipe Band Championships held on Glasgow Green. Kyle joined the band at the end of last year and as well as winning the World Championships the band was crowned Champion of Champions having accumulated the most points over 5 separate championship events held in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Kyle said "I'm ecstatic that we managed to win the World Championships I thoroughly enjoy playing in the band as well as the social side of it, fingers crossed to many more championship titles in the future!".
