Abstract
We consider T-round elimination tournaments where players have fixed and equal endowments. We provide conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a symmetric equilibrium for a general class of elimination tournaments. We show that the winner-take-all prize scheme and the same number of competitors in each group in each round ensure equal resource allocation across all rounds.
