Professor Lee Parker, Research Professor in Accounting is to be inducted into the Australian Accounting Hall of Fame, at the University of Melbourne.
Membership of the Hall of Fame recognises individuals who are making or have made a significant contribution to the advancement of accounting in Australia, and had a profound impact on the accounting discipline. The Hall of Fame was established in 2010 and honours and celebrates distinguished accounting practitioners and academics.
Professor Lee Parker said: “I am honoured to be acknowledged in this way, but more importantly, it is a recognition of the entire interdisciplinary, critical, historical, and qualitative accounting research community in Australia. Many of my colleagues, like myself, have made significant contributions to our literature and discipline internationally. This award reflects favourably on both our national and global endeavours and impacts.
“It motivates me to continue the great task of further building the accounting research community and discipline globally.”
