Anesu’s research explores how decolonial methodologies can be integrated into climate education.
Anesu holds a BA from the University of Sheffield and is a current University of Glasgow MSc Student in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences. While working on her Masters, Anesu has also worked as a University of Glasgow Decolonising Geography Intern.
Her PhD will explore how decolonial methodologies can be integrated into climate education, shifting traditional narratives and pedagogies towards more inclusive approaches. She hopes to contribute to sustainable educational practices which recognise indigenous knowledge systems.
In addition to her academic work, Anesu also works on a podcast celebrating nature and inspiring black women leaders in the environmental movement, called Black Earth.
