College of Arts and Humanities Widening Participation Postgraduate Taught Scholarships
The College of Arts and Humanities is pleased to be offering Widening Participation Postgraduate Taught scholarships to support with studying a one-year postgraduate taught programme (either full-time across one year, or part-time across two years) in the College. The scholarships include a full fee waiver at the 'Home' tuition fee rate and a stipend (the stipend rate for 2025/26 is £17,039) and are available to candidates who meet the University's Widening Participation criteria.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught Masters programme in the College of Arts and Humanities, for September 2025.
- Be classified as a ‘Home’ (including RUK) student for fee purposes.
- Meet the University’s widening participation criteria:
• Qualified for an adjusted entry on contextual admissions offer to UG degree on widening participation grounds
• Taken part in a widening participation programme while at school, college, at a Summer School or on an Access course before starting UG degree
• Have care experience
• Are a carer (provide unpaid care)
• Are seeking asylum in the UK
• Have refugee status
