PROJECTS THAT HIGHLIGHT COLLEGIAL LEADERSHIP

Celebrating those who shape positive research cultures through their everyday actions of care, collegiality, support and inclusion.

InFrame’s projects collect, recognise and celebrate everyday examples of collegial research leadership, from supervisors and PGRs to research staff, PIs, and professional services colleagues. They:

  • Highlight actions that create positive research environments.
  • Show how leadership at all levels helps others to thrive.
  • Help build a broader, more inclusive understanding of research leadership.

Inspired by the University of Glasgow’s 'People Make Research' project, this initiative now runs across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and St Andrews recognising and celebrating leadership that supports a positive culture.

Our motto "Seek and You Shall Find" reminds us that great research culture is all around us. We just need to look for it. Seek, Find, Celebrate wants to recognise the people who make a positive impact through collegial research leadership.

  • Open to all: supervisors, students, technicians, research staff, PIs, professional services, and leadership teams.
  • A simple way to thank those who foster fairness, collaboration, and support in research.
  • Share real examples of what good research culture looks like at Edinburgh.

Recognise the colleagues who make a positive research culture!

At the University of Glasgow, we celebrate the colleagues who actively build and sustain a positive research culture. In 2025, nearly 500 colleagues were recognised for their contributions to Careers, Creativity and Collaboration, showing the power of collegiality.

This isn’t a competition. It’s a heartfelt opportunity to celebrate and say thank you to the people who help research truly thrive. We’ll be sharing the Padlet galleries with the 2026 nominations very soon, so keep an eye out for the links and take some time to enjoy the inspiring nominations and shared reflections!
