'Economics, Banking & Finance proved to be the right choice as it provided me with a better chance to study and get to know the mind-set of a policymaker. Economic analysis of financial and banking issues was at the core of the programme, along with the core curriculum comprising of international macroeconomics and policy, monetary policy and the role of central banks. The Adam Smith Business School also provided me the opportunity to gain practical knowledge through training in software like MATLAB, Eviews and Oxmetrics Enterprise. The material of the programme involved practical, real-life examples, with regular seminars from people in the industry. This helped me to get a good understanding of how a banker/investor thinks in real life.'
