The United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom visited the University of Glasgow for a question and answer session with students.

Robert Tuttle spent almost an hour with the audience and answered a range of questions posed by the  audience.

The Ambassador is keen to meet people from across the UK and frequently arranges visits to universities.

He said: "I am always happy to meet with students and hear their views on a range of global issues. I always look forward to these sessions and I am glad that I could fit this is as part of my visit to Scotland.

"The students asked some tough questions but that is what open debate is all about and I hope they appreciated the opportunity to attend. I certainly appreciated the opportunity to meet with them."
