Each day a different image or photograph of our fascinating universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer, on NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day site.

On November 19 2003, an image generated by Johannes Courtial, Miles Padgett and Jonathan Leach at the University of Glasgow was featured:NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day

Their research into the complexities and intricacies of light has also recently featured in the New Journal of Physics and PhysicsWeb and will be detailed in the forthcoming Synergy brochure as it is being funded through a joint Proof of Concept award with Strathclyde University.
