Show & Tell Follow Up

Thank you for attending our MyGrades Show and Tell. We had an exceptional turnout with almost 300 attendees joining the event, and a high level of engagement via the Menti survey. It is great to see such interest in MyGrades. While the system is still in development, the MyGrades Team are delighted by the level of feedback, questions received, and the ambition of all involved to be part of this process, as we work towards achieving a single point of access for students to view their consolidated assessment information.

MyGrades is one of our first key steps and investment to improve the digital and assessment environment, by putting all consolidated assessment information from Moodle Gradebook, GCAT or MyGrades into one place.  It reduces the need for manual aggregation of individual grades through a Moodle Plug In.

The delivery of the MyGrades solution is part of the University’s commitment through the Learning & Teaching Strategy to continue to develop a more integrated approach to teaching and assessment technologies that will create a consistent experience for all students.  As you will have seen from the Show & Tell we are supporting this change with a suite of comprehensive training and upskilling resources and will continue to keep you informed as we progress through the development of this tool.

We have endeavoured to answer all the questions raised, and responses can be accessed at Show & Tell Questions & Answers

Learning Innovation Support Unit (LISU)

The Learning Innovation Support Unit (LISU) will be assisting staff throughout the implementation and introduction to MyGrades. Our goal is to ensure you are MyGrades ready. To facilitate this, we have developed a comprehensive support eco-system, including a dedicated resource section on SharePoint.

‌This resource is specifically designed to guide you through each stage of MyGrades, with video tutorials and easy to follow written instruction. In addition to this, we’ll also be offering dedicated synchronous upskilling sessions on the MyGrades process. More information to follow in the coming weeks and months.

Thank you for your commitment and continued support over the coming months.
