Get to know some of the services available to you from UofG IT services, the library and more!
IT Highlights
Multi-Factor Authentication
This year, everyone needs to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when logging into any UofG IT system, including the Student Portal.
MFA is a way of confirming your identity in two steps using something you know, usually your password, and something you have, usually a smartphone or tablet.
To make sure you can always access UofG systems, please remember to:
- Use two methods - set up the authenticator app and register your mobile number
- Use two devices if you can - if you have a phone and a tablet, set up MFA on both
- Bring your MFA device - if you’re travelling here to study, make sure to bring the device you used to set up MFA

A new look for enrolment
Following the launch of the new fluid student homepage and the new look for registration, we are pleased to announce that enrolment has also been refreshed this summer.
What’s new?
Enrolment now follows the same look and feel as the Student Homepage, and the new interface is designed to render on any device. This means you can access enrolment on your phone or tablet.

Library highlights
Borrow a laptop
As a UofG student, you can borrow a laptop to use in the Library for up to 4 hours. Just head to the self-service Laptop Loan machine on Level 3 of the University Library, bring your campus card and follow the instructions on the screen.

Click & Collect
Use the Library Click & Collect service to reserve books online and pick them up from the Library without needing to browse the shelves.
Find out more and request books by logging into UofG Helpdesk and searching for Click and Collect.
