Introduction
The University of Glasgow’s UKVI Sponsor Licence, and our ability to sponsor international students, are dependent on accurate and timely attendance monitoring.
To ensure on-going compliance the University has introduced new practices, especially in the areas of student engagement monitoring. Changing our processes greatly influences a broader, future ambition to ensure we provide data-informed processes that can boost student well-being, success, and engagement across individual students and the wider community.
As we move through a phased adoption, and to ensure we are not left with any gaps, it is essential to note for:
UG/PGT (teaching events) - Schools continue to carry out their current engagement monitoring arrangements in addition to new processes until further notice.
PGR/PGT (dissertation/project) - Supervisors need to adopt a new UofG HelpDesk Engagement form which replaces all other local forms for recording engagements with PGR students, and PGT students during the dissertation/project period.
