The Technician Commitment Steering Group is pleased to announce that the University of Glasgow in collaboration with the Universities of Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Strathclyde, Dundee and West of Scotland will be holding the Scottish Technical Conference on Tuesday 10th June 2025, from 10.00am – 3.30pm at the University of Glasgow's Bute Hall with registration starting at 9am on the day. This is a free event open to all technical staff across the participating universities. In addition, representatives from other Universities in Scotland will be in attendance.

The programme will consist of excellent keynote speakers, interactive workshops and updates on the progress and plans to support technical staff. 

We will also be running a Technician Poster Competition and a Technician Photo Competition, where you can share your unique technical work experience and be in with the chance to win high street vouchers (competition and judging will take place at the Conference).

Details about the Poster and Photo competitions as well as online registration for the conference will follow in due course. 

Lunch will also be provided on the day. If you do not typically work on a Tuesday, you can still attend the event and you may wish to discuss alternative working arrangements with your line manager.
