Overall the crucible was a great experience and very informative. The activity I like the most was the speed dating in day 1 which allow me to meet people whom I never thought I would talk too. I have two specific outcomes from the crucible in terms of impact:
1. A stage 2 LKAS PhD studentship with Dr Kevin Worrall (School of Engineering) who I met during The Crucible. This PhD is an interdisciplinary project of which we are particularly excited about and we believe it will lead to further funding bids.
2. I ran a variation of the speed dating session in my School's research away to improve the research culture among academics. I did this last Friday and the feedback I got was pretty good.
