‌Tickets are still available for DJ’s Christmas Party, the annual festive night of fun held at the GUU on 7 December.

The legendary campus event, which includes a disco and mystery guest stars, has been held for the last six years to raise money for charity.

The event is the work of Estates and Commercial Services Clerk of Works, Derek 'DJ' Johnston, and is open to all staff at the University, friends and colleagues.

Last year the event raised £5,400 for the Make-A-Wish charity and helped nine-year old brain cancer sufferer William Crossan from Neilston the chance to experience his dream holiday.

Thanks to DJ’s work and the generosity of the University staff, the charity arranged for young William and his family to fly down to Legoland in Windsor for a weekend away.

So far, Derek's efforts have raised over £19,000 for the Make-a-Wish children's charity and £4,000 for the long-running Cash for Kids charity.

Date: Friday 7 December

Venue: Glasgow University Union

Tickets: £10 including buffet. Contact: Derek.Johnston@glasgow.ac.uk or call 07843 290 800

All proceeds are donated to Make-A-Wish.
