The MPA Peer Network launched in festive style on Monday 18 December with a Christmas Fair open to all staff in the Management, Professional and Administrative job family.

Attendees were treated to free cakes and barista coffee, and had the chance to fit in some last minute Christmas shopping at stalls manned by local artists and makers. Representatives from Human Resources, UofG Sport and PAM Assist were also on hand to chat about the services they offer.

The MPA Peer Network Committee ran their own stall complete with a free raffle and dot voting boards to gather suggestions for future events and initiatives.‌

Committee Member Kirsty Kilgour said: “we were absolutely delighted with the turnout on the day, we counted over 250 staff members through the doors! The committee will be meeting in January to review the feedback we received and put plans in place for 2018. We’re aiming to create some clear pathways for staff to get involved, whether it’s volunteering on the committee, contributing to a working group or initiative, or attending future events and sessions – watch this space!”

Feedback from staff

“Well done to everyone who organised the fab Christmas Fair today. It was lovely to see so many colleagues I haven’t chatted to in ages, and the Dot Voting was inspired.”

“The Christmas Fair was a lovely interlude to my day- thank you. Cake, coffee and Christmas goodies what more can you ask for during the last week of work before the hols.”

“Just back from the Christmas Fair, it was great. Good balance of stalls. Blew my budget of £20! Looking forward to the future events.”
