Have you heard about the Cycle to Work scheme, free Nextbike hire or Journey Share?
If a more active and sustainable lifestyle is one of your new year’s resolutions, remember that the University provides a ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme to make it easier for staff members to obtain a bicycle, writes Viola Retzlaff, Travel and Transport Co-ordinator.
Cycle to Work
The scheme provides bicycles to staff for a discount up to 33% of the original price. Bicycle accessories such as clothing, panniers, lights, lock, helmets and even child seats can be part of the package. For details, please visit Cycle Plus
As a staff member or student you could also use the NextBike hire bikes without having to pay a membership fee – please see all details at Nextbike
Journey Share
If you are considering giving your own car a rest and saving money, the University JourneyShare system could help to find a suitable person to share a car with.
Register your journey at Journey Share for the chance to find a match for shared travel to and from the University.
